November 21st Concurrent Care: Reimbursement for Providing Care for Children
Description
This course will help Hospice clinicians to better understand concurrent care legislation as part of Health Care Reform and how it applies to children. T. Resources will be provided for more information on the legislation. Discussion on how to describe pediatric concurrent care to families will be reviewed. Case studies and discussion will allow for participants to bring their own questions and needs in this area to be addressed. Register Now
These webinars offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) specifically for nurses. The CEUs are accredited by the Minnesota Board of Nursing. Please note that these credits are exclusively available for nursing professionals. Certification and distribution of CEUs are managed by Children's Minnesota, and certificates will be emailed after the webinars.
Presenters
Jody is the Nursing supervisor for Pain, Palliative Care and Integrative Medicine. She has worked in hospice and palliative care for over 30 years, 20 of those in Pediatrics. Her Doctorate in Nursing Practice work focused on training Adult hospice programs to provide hospice care for children in their community. Pediatric palliative care. She is a Fellow of Palliative Care Nursing and a Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse.
After completing his training in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine, He worked in New Mexico caring for underserved patients and families as they traverse complex medical illnesses. He has a passion for education in Palliative Medicine and improving the healthcare experience delivered across all healthcare settings.
