MNHPC is directed by nurses, doctors, clinicians, and community leaders passionate about the value of palliative and hospice care. The MNHPC Board of Directors helps to guide the mission of the organization, assist with fundraising efforts and achieve organizational priorities.

Minnesota Network of Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking nominations of candidates to the MNHPC Board of Directors. The term begins January 2022. Each member serves for up to 3 terms, or a maximum of 9 years. Please nominate yourself, or someone who you believe would be an effective board representative. If you do decide to nominate someone else, please first ask for their permission.

Nominations will open on Friday, October 8th and close on Friday, November 12th.

  • The MNHPC Board meets six times each year and members are responsible for attending each meeting (virtual attendance is available)

  • Each member is expected to serve on at least one organizational committee

  • MNHPC is committed to developing a Board of Directors that represents the entire state

  • Nominations are open to people from all disciplines within hospice and palliative care

  • Board nominees do not have to be part of a hospice or palliative care organization. We encourage Board members who have expertise in finance, marketing, education, long-term care, development, government relations, fundraising, nonprofit management and law

We encourage you to consider joining MNHPC's Board of Directors. If you're interested, we offer opportunities to participate in a number of committees.

MNHPC is committed to fostering and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout our work, including on our Boards of Directors. We believe diversity on the Board is the presence of a wide range of backgrounds and identities that may include race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, (dis)ability, geography, religion/spirituality, family status, Veteran status, professional discipline, and lived experience. To learn more, please see MNHPC's DEI Framework.

If you have specific questions please directly email Alex Clark, Founder and Lead Strategist of Turnlane, MNHPC Vice President and Chair of the Nominating Committee.
