John Kleive

It is my pleasure to nominate John Kleive for Veteran Volunteer of the Year. I have known John for quite a few years working in my role at Essentia Health Hospice. John has been a Hospice volunteer with us since 2012. He has completed over 2,019 hours in supporting hospice patients who are veterans themselves. When patients are admitted to hospice, we coordinate a ceremony to honor their service in the military (We Honor Veterans ceremony). John has completed these ceremonies for our veteran patients and provided additional peer to peer support of companionship. He is deeply committed to giving his time to support those who need it most.
